The Full Story

I started my own business career as an estate agency at the tender age of 26 years old. At its peak we had multiple sites and over 40 staff. 23 years later I was approached by a local competitor and who recognised the quality of our business and sold to them.

In 2016 I started a higher-level diploma in business, management, and leadership which I completed in 2019. During that time, I applied many of the principles to my own business and reaped the success of good structure and management.

Since selling my business, I was regularly approached as a mentor to other businesses to help their owners achieve their long-term goals. This has now turned into a full-time career with many success stories

My Main Advice For Businesses

Be good at what you’re good at!

Identify the skills you need in the business and delegate ensure succession planning. Listen and empower your staff so that you can be set free. The best business owners and managers are the ones who make themselves redundant. In the last few years, I have met a wide range of business owners from small retail to mass wholesale. From manufacturers to installers. From sales businesses to service industries.

What do they all have in common? They are intelligent people with a passion for their industry. They are entrepreneurs who have started their own business to better themselves and more importantly provide better value to their customers.

Why I Do What I Do

I always set myself the goal of retiring at 55 years old, through some planning and a bit of luck, I achieved that goal 5 years early.
I have discovered that regardless of sector, the principles of business are the same. By being able to see the business from an external perspective, we can identify simple to implement areas of improvement with significant impact on returns. My role isn’t to teach you to run your business. But to allow you to explore, evaluate and measure change. To help extract the knowledge and expertise within your business for the growth of the business.

The ultimate goal is to make the business serve you rather than you serving the business
